Rock - Paper - Scissors? No thank you!
Sadly, I seemed to be right.
The graphics were the first disappointment for me. I hate having to crank up the anti-aliasing on a game as high as it can go, especially when I still get jagged lines. I've seen better textures on a PC game for sure, and better models as well. The Entire environment and its lighting looked like a rehashed version of Oblivion.
I thought, when I took the tutorial course, that a rock-paper-scissors form of combat was rather dumb. A skill based game should not have its entire melee combat mechanics on the premises of a game involving a lot of guesswork. I mean, you not going to block a quick attack because you saw it coming, nor quick attack when you see a heavy attack coming, simply because you - DON'T- See it coming. With this said, every match I've been in quickly degenerated to a bunch of magic users or archers trying (and failing) to hit swiftly moving targets with weak projectiles infused with terrible, unrealistic physics. Said Swiftly moving targets are melee classes (all of which have a gun, or magic capabilities, that are never used) that run at each other and spam their quick attack button as fast as they can. Very soon, the melee classes kill each other, and get to watch the ranged classes' futile attempts to shoot each other while waiting for ridiculous spawn timers.
I had some fun playing this game... but not much. I quite frankly can not say that this game did anything exceptionally well. The entire thing in my opinion was a a rather mediocre experience.
