Absolutely Horrendous.
Let's make this a sweet, short review. Your here for help to make a decision on buying or renting this game, right? Well I hope I can help any of you out there that is trying to make that decision. This is from complete honesty, no matter how hard I try to see good in this game after dishing out 60$'s on it. Let's get started...
It's Saw. Feels and plays like Silent Hill: Homecoming on crack. Its obvious its the same system, hell, even the environment interactions like sliding through holes in walls and the fighting stance is straight from Homecoming.
Whatever you heard about the combat, its probably true. If it's unresponsive and slow that you heard, its right on point. Getting into fights is a big mistake in this game.
Puzzles are like in Saw, which gave this game a real big plus. They are unique and actually very creative. But somewhere down the line, it gets really old, they shouldnt have made the game as long as they did, because it starts to be deja vu.
Sound is the best thing about this game, its excellent. From the eerie theme music to the grisly tone in Jigsaw's voice, its top notch.
Graphics do not make a game, but in this case, this game's should have been a little bit better.
All said and done: This game was ridiculous. I think the idea was unique and it stood out quite a bit, but it had so many issues that when it stood out it showed all its problems as well, like a mad man screaming in public about being rich, but hes homeless. Skip this game and look into Killzone 2 or Uncharted 2 if your looking to dish out 65$.
