Not a bad game, The ideas used here, are either very good, or not to good.

This game is well better than what gamespot gives it. The fact of the matter is there's a lot of thing here that make this game engross you so much that you can't help to feel like scarface himself.

THE GOOD

There was definitely a point made in the making of this game to not use a lot of gameplay ideas that have been done before. That is for sure. There is a great variety of music, to start off, ranging from reggae to rock to even having music of other nationalities. The gameplay is extremely original. Though many see this as a GTA wannabee, that falls far from it. There are two types of money dirty money and laundered money, you earn money any way you can, but if you die you lose any money that you haven't laundered. also you have to negotiate with a special system about prices for drugs, and percent of the money the ak takes for laundering your hard earned cash. You also have fronts that you have to do a mission for and then making them availible to buy, these fronts can be used to sell your drugs or later in the game make deliveries. There is also such a better system for getting vehicles or boats, you can call a henchman to bring you a car you had previously bought when-ever you call on him, all in all as you can see a lot of the things here have never been used. making this game feel a lot diffrent than the other Grand theft auto's. Also the combat system is fun with a way to go into a rage mode, you build up your "balls" by taunting people while you kill them and so on. The best thing about all of the above things, is that it's all done very well! It definitly doesn't feel like it was just all thrown together.

THE BAD

Eventually later in the game the delevary missions start becoming a chore. You eventually have so many store fronts that you have to make so many deliveries that it becomes annoying. Also when wanting to go meet drug dealers (both large or small) you have to do some kind of mission just to get to the dealers, these missions feel liek a cheap way of making the game longer, It's one thing to maybe have a mission or two right before dealing with a new dealer, but for every time? There is a point when you can go meet with girls and talk to them, but this is also another obvious way to waste your time and just make you think something better could happen. (I don't want to spoil what happens but its a total let-down)

OVER-ALL

Very good game all though it has its flaws, the over-all product works as a whole and could very easily be a game you would never want to part with. A sure buy for someone who likes a classic styled game but with new elements that arn't the same as every other GTA.
