Tony Montana is back! this game can be very original, though fans of the movie will like it more than those who arn't.

Let me set the two things straight before I review the game. 1) I am a die-hard Scarface fan, therefore I may love this game so much just because I get to sell yeyo as Tony Montana.
2) If you are strict to the movie, than you will likely be disappointed in the fact that the developers changed the ending to the movie and go with a sort of "what if?" approach. With that said, if you are still interested, then read on.

Like i said eariler, ithe developers decided to change the ending to the movie. So when you first start the game, you'll see a quick (about 3 minutes) run-through of the movie. After this, it takes you right into gameplay around the time of the "say 'ello to my lil friend" part, and you begin to shoot your way through the mansion. Unlike the movie (*SPOILERS FOR MOVIE!!!*) Tony does not get shot point-blank in the back by "The Skull", however you can turn around shoot at him. (*SPOILERS OVER*) but something that's a bit of a bummer for move purist is that if you decide to stand there and let yourself get filled with shotgun ammo, it takes him about 3 or 4 rounds to kill you. For the sake of gameplay i suppose this is understandable, but for me, it was a bit weird.

After you escape the mansion, it turns into a gta-style form game. But what sets it apart is the fact you can buy store fronts, sell yeyo (after getting some from a supplier of course) and you end up doing a buch of things that Tony really wouldn't be doing in the first place. Now you may be thinking, "thats because his henchmen do all the work". well, even though Tony lost everything and must rebuild his empire, he still hires enforcers and assassians. Odd as it may be, its once again for gameplays sake, so i suppose its forgivible. Since I'm a bit busy, i need to cut this review short, therefore i will leave one last peice of advice. DO NOT TRUST JEFF GERSTMANN'S REVIEW!!!!! You all saw what he did to True Crime and Twighlight Princess. If you want a better review than check out IGN or Gametrailers.
