Ideally suited for the stylus.
Scrabble on DS uses the stylus to place letters onto the board which is great, though I think not being able to use the d-pad or buttons is an oversight. Its not always ideal to only have stylus controls as for me personally I do not like using the stylus if I am playing my DS in public.
There are two ways to play Scrabble; Classic which is just normal scrabble against a AI opponent or Duplicate mode in which you all get the same rack of letters and whoever puts the highest scoring word gets that word placed on the board and the points.
There are a few modes to play, quick play in which you just have a quick game against an AI oppononent & career mode in which you beat AI opponents to progress through to various competitions. The opponents get progressively hard to beat.
One flaw for me is no solo play, every game you have to play against an opponent, I like to try and beat my own high score but this game does not enable you to do so.
There are a few mini games also, an anagram game which speaks for itself, escaletters and puzzleletters. Great for when you don't have time to play a full game of scrabble.
The save feature enables you to save your game at any time which is great as scrabble can take a while.
You can play multiplayer using a local network and DS download play. No wifi play though.
