Over-hyped, but still very enjoyable.

When I had first heard about this game, it sounded as thought it were too good to be true. To be able solve puzzles using anything you could think of, I thought this was exactly what the DS needed. Of course, It was hyped up to be The must own game for the DS. Needless to say, I picked up a copy on the day of its release. This is a game where you should decide for yourself whether you would like a game like this. You can't decide to buy this game based on reviews alone. If you are going to ignore that last sentence, then please continue reading and enjoy my review :)

Graphics: Very cartoony, but fitting. Graphics aren't really important in a game like this, but they get the job done.

Sound: Upbeat and Catchy. Sets the tone for the atmosphere and improves the overall feel of the game.

Gameplay: If anything, this is a sandbox game and buried in that sandbox lies a puzzle game. There is a substantial amount of fun to be had with the plethora of items at your disposal. The controls are a little awkward. You may have trouble controlling little Maxwell as he exaggerates commands a little. (IE- You may tap on a certain point and he runs too far and falls into the water)

Replay Value: Over 200 re-playable levels and a great level editor. do the math.

The Bottom Line: This game, while plagued with minor control issues, is a very well developed and thought out game. I recommend it to anybody who likes puzzle or sandbox games, and/or just wants a game they can screw around in.
