If u r a Gundam fan or want some proper strategy planning, its a game u cant miss!!!!

User Rating: 8.9 | SD Gundam G Generation Portable PSP
This game is very similar to Super Robot Taisen (aka Super Robot Wars) in a number of system. G Gen P contains 15 different Gundam series. Ranging from Gundam, Gundam 0080, G Gundam, Gundam Wing, Gundam Seed and Gundam Seed Destiny. If u think it will be as easy as the previous SRW, where u can just upgrade one MS and use it to kill everything on the field, then you would be surprised at the difficulty on this version.

The graphics on this game is something u would expect from a psp game. Nothing too flashy but good enough for a psp. The loading time of this game is not too much. Most of the time you dont have to wait for more than 5 seconds. The background music would be related to the stage that u r playing, so it will be repetitive after a while.

When u start a game, u would be able to choose the storyline (eg. Gundam Seed or Gundam W). Then u will need to enter the operation room. In there u will organise ur group. This can range from any MS in the game. However, u need to either research by combine the blueprints of 2 MS or just capture one. MS that was used on our side of the game can be made if u have enough money. There are over 1000 MS in this version of the game and just under 800 different pilot. To level up your MS is somewhat different then previous version. In older versions once you finish the stage, u can edit the stats of a MS. However in G Gen, u can only edit the stats when your MS gained a level. Each stage is huge. Average time look to complete one stage is about an hour. There would be several assist round when u thought u have completed the stage. In some stage, the map would be multi-layer, some MS can move from one layer to another for more intensive battle.

This game is in Japanese and as far as I know now, there is no plans on getting chinese or english version out on the market. For those who cant read japanese, before each stage starts it could be a pain. since there is always loads of conversation before the battle begins and its not possible to skip everything with a start button.

One of the downsides in this game is there is no multi-player mode even though u have ur own group of pilot and MS.

If you are a gundam fan or just want some proper strategy planning game and dont mind it being japanese, SD Gundam G Generation Portable is a game for you.
