The most masochistic game on the planet
User Rating: 7.5 | Second Life PC
I have been playing SL for approximately 2 years now, I hate myself every day for ever stepping foot in the virtual world. For some it's a simple game, for others it can be an experience in the way of game design, to others it can be a great market opportunity. My guilt is that I view it as a game, an RPG in most concepts. Once you start playing it something just keeps bringing you back no matter how hard you try to fight it. The worst part is that I've spent probably over $500 in this game, what a stupid idea, but I couldn't help myself. It's addictive, and good in a lot of ways but may the way ward gamer be warned, if you start playing this game you will either end up hating every inch of it, or not want to stop playing it until your dead. The real irony is that while I write this review I am logged on to the virtual world right now.
If you have a fast enough processor and crank up the games graphics SL has some pretty fantastic scenery, you can find just about any kind of game play if you search for it, the only major problem is that SL will crash every chance it gets. This is why I call it masochistic, you will become your personal tormentor as soon as you begin the login sequence.
