A cool free MMORPG with a visual style reminiscent of classic console RPGs.

With several unique classes, tons of quests, some pretty cool skills and lots of cute little (and big) monsters, Secret of the Solstice offers pretty much all the stuff RPG veterans are looking for.

While some of the game's English leaves a little to be desired, gameplay is fairly straightforward and takes place in a detailed game world featuring quite a few different environments.

Because it's free, the game features a premium item shop with all manner of extras like potions, experience boosters, and even kooky accessories like bear suits, fox tails and character outfits (maid & school uniforms).

Certain parts of the game can be a real grind, and you shouldn't even think about adventuring without plenty of potions. But the player community is friendly enough and I really dig the music.

Overall, a fun free RPG to try out, especially if you loved RO back in the day.
