One of the best Game Collections ever!

User Rating: 9.6 | Sega Genesis Collection PS2
I am have anxiously waited for this collection for months, and now that I have it, I am in heaven. If you ever played Sega Genesis, you will not be disappointed. Some of the games are: Kid Chameleon, Vectorman 1 and 2, Sonic 1 and 2, Comix Zone, 3 Ecco the dolphin games, Golden Axe 1,2, and 3, Shinobi, Altered Beast and more. Overall 28 games plus 5 unlockable games which include Zaxxon and the Arcade Altered Beast. Unlike other collections, these games are from 1990's (my era of gaming) and not 1980's (not that there is anything wrong with those collections). I had no problems playing these games, they play exactly like they played on Genesis. Some have complained that 28 games (plus 5 extra) are not enough for this collection. To them, I say, show me a collection out there that has more games (and no, Atari Anthology doesn't count). There are very few extras on this collection like commercials or behind the scenes, but to be honest, I really doesn't matter to me. I am not big on those feautures anyway. I didn't buy this for behind the scenes, I bought this for the games. Some complained that they would rather see arcade games from Sega. To that I say, first of all this is a Sega Genesis collection (not arcade collection) and two: while arcade games are prettier, the difficulty in those is insane, as they were meant to suck up your quarters, and therefore having your game character die a lot. That takes the fun out of it for me. Back to this Collection, some of fan favorites like Street of Rage and many others are missing, but I suspect that there will be a volume 2 in the future, that might remedy this. I myself would love to see a Sega CD collection that would finally give us Sonic CD, and a little know game called "Third World War" which was made a third party which no longer exist. This is a must own collection for gamers who played these games in the 1990's. Only Capcom has released an awesome collection like this. Why isn't Konami and others giving us collections like these. And why is Nintendo is planning to charge 6 to 8 dollars a pop for one classic game that you can download. Why not follow Sega, and release a disc with 20 to 30 games, a disc that you can own forever and can put on your shelf, and play whenever you want to.

This collection does not disappoint, it is a must own for any serious gamer, especially one that played games in the 1990s.
