I recently found this game in a bargain bin for $15 and had to pick it up. I figured for $15 even if it only has a couple decent ports on it it would be worth it. Now I realize I would've probably paid full price for this awesome collection. You've got Sonic 1&2, which still haven't lost their magic. Phantasy Star 2-4, of which I never bought 4 cause back in the day $100 was just too much for any game, but having all three is an awesome collection in and of itself. Comix Zone, which I always liked. Both Vector Man games, which are still fun today. Ecco 1&2, which remind me of how freakin tough the Ecco games were. And a slew of other games, which lead to many, many hours of entertainment. To top it off, the PSP is perfect for these short trips down memory lane. It's cool to rock a couple levels of Sonic for 10 minutes between activities. Plus the fun of unlocking the extra games and interviews by completing certain challenges within the games adds a small diversion from the trip down memory lane.
There are however, some titles I really wish they would've put in instead of the obscure titles they did. I really don't understand why they put in games like Ecco Jr. and left out any or the Streets of Rage Games. I would have gladly given up Decap Attack and VF2 for Eternal Champions and Shining Force. Of the great line-up of in-house Genesis games Sega had, I really don't understand why they opted for some obscure crap titles like Gain Ground. The extras you can unlock are cooler than some of these filler titles. But, these are small complaints when you get so many great titles from the old days. All in all the games play great, are still fun after all these years, and will definitely occupy your time for many hours. Add to that the fact that most places have this one for a very cheap price and you've got an offer yu can't refuse.
