What can be said of SWOS a game so good 12 years after it's first release myself,and many likeminded people, are still playing. Sensible soccer was a great game, back in the early 90's you either played Kick off 2 or Sensi . However SWOS came along and was at the time peerless. Play and manage any player , any team in the world Simple , addictive gameplay and graphics full of character made this the icon that it is. I've seen the rise of Pro Evo and Fifa .. they are great games ... in fact Pro evo is as close to the beautiful game as you can get. but there is a charm to SWOS that resonates past it's dated graphics and it's wildly arcade like gameplay. Much like Cannon fodder the graphics perfectly suit the tone and pure fun that the game generates. I very much doubt i'll ever come across a worthy successor to SWOS ... but never say never. until then this is my only perfect 10 game. check back in another 10 years and see who's still playing !
