There are different modes to play: Friendly, two sorts of competitions, a season and Career. Career is my favorite mode. I will explain why I like the Career mode the most. First, fill in your name, choose player-coach and pick your team. Then you can pick a team from over the entire world: From Europe to Oceania, everything is possible. As I am from Europe, I have to mention that all players from 1994 – 1995 are correct that played at that time.
Three options are important when playing the Career mode:
1. Transfers: Can you strengthen your team with the players you need?
2. Job offers: If you are successful, other teams will ask you if want to player-coach there team.
3. Club business: Without business, there is no club. Pay attention to your cash-flow. If you are deep in depths, the future will not be brighten.
The UEFA Cup, the European Champions Cup, the European Cup-Winners Cup and all divisional Cups are included. Winning the division and cups will gain business and new sponsors will donate an amount of money for making the right transfers. There is no option building a stadium.
The controls are easy: Up, Down, Left, Right and Shoot! It is all you need. When shooting you have the ability to put effect to the shoot for good results. It works really well.
The matches you play have a top-down view. There is no other view available. The game length is from 3 minutes at 10 minutes max. There are different pitches, with different properties. When the pitch type is frozen, the ball will go faster when shooting for example.
Sensible World of Soccer (1994 – 1995) is the game of the series I still play today. I found it much better than the Sensible Soccer (1992) due to the gameplay.
