It's a pretty fun game, but feels like it's missing something.

It feels like it's missing the spark that made the Final Fantasies so much fun to play through; just a lack of polish that's glaringly obvious in the area of graphics, but, as they say, the devil's in the details. The music loops too often, the voice acting just isn't quite up to snuff, all that sort of thing.
It's not a bad game, though; far from it. It's got an engaging combat system, what music is there is very good, and the story, while patchy at times, still gives you enough of a reason to want to keep playing through the game.
