Still Amazing.
Gameplay:
The Gameplay of SH is interesting. The judgement ring idea works well and it’s the first game in which it is featured (to my knowledge). The humour used throughout this, and other games in the shadow hearts series, fits in well with each character, Alice being innocent and naïve, Yuri being quite closed off yet down to earth, Margarete being very forward etc. Graphics:
Not exactly top-notch for those of us who are used to Square games but still pretty impressive for an early ps2 game. The monsters are probably the most interesting out of any RPG I’ve played and the library containing information about them is actually a good read :]
Sound:
I thought the sound in SH was used extremely well. Repetitive at times but mainly relevant and, as I have said before, not many gamers noticed repetitive sound while they are immersed in a game such as this. Value:
Well, I still play it now and I’ve had it for about 4/5 years so the value is amongst that of the Final Fantasy games. My advice? Get it if you love a good RPG.
