Just Not Right!!!

I loved Shadow Man for the PS1 and can't say enough about how spooky, haunting and mesmerizing it was. The voodoo powers and ability to change from the live side to the dead side ... the music was spooky and the adventure was good and praphically pleasing for the PS1. I just was sure the game for the PS2 would be great ... oh how could i be so wrong ... So when 2nd coming came out I payed top dollar for the new game and found that this game was lacking to the original and was just plain boring. My value scoring for this game is therefore very low ... The linearity of the game is muddled and difficult to follow ... it's one of those games that you must download a walkthrough for to complete it ... controls were strong and had solid game play for the 2nd coming but still the confusing environments and difficult mapping of the game made game play tedious at times. Graphics are good and the creatures and baddies are represented better in this game than the first, but it is the Ps2 and this should be expected. But good graphics don't make a good game and even though the original shadow man was extremely pixilated it was still a far superior game for the mood it created. Sound in this game is good and it has all of the spooky voodoo music that the player would expect. But again l liked the music from the first one better...there's something about the squeal from the baddies in the original that sends a shiver up y'r spine. My reviewers tilt is high because i like acclaim software usually and especilally liked the original shadow man. Buy the first one for 3 bucks at the local game store and save your money...
