This promising game is in fact almost impossible to finish without a walktrough. Even with the expansion pack, it seems to push the n64 a bit too much and you can in fact loose your game even if you've put hours and hours into it. The game is saved on the cartridge and if the battery fails you're done. You could get the PC or PS2 versions but there is a huge glitch in the PS2 version that keeps you from finishing it at 100%. Anyway, that's what happened to me and the quest is not entertaining enough for me to restart it(I think I had about 90 out of the 120 dark souls required for 100% completion). The level in which you track down Jack the Reaper in the London metro is very well done but most of the levels are huge for no real reason other than looks because you can't fly, use a grappling hook or climb walls. Some mandatory jumps are almost impossible to make, as if the developers wanted to stretch out the game; well it's not entertaining for the player and even less for people who watch it. The story and script is intended for adults and the voice acting is pretty well done. Plus there wasn't a lot of black people in video games in 1999 so you have to give them credit for that, considering that some people are obviously frustrated that you have to play a black caracter in GTA: San Andreas still today in 2006.

Pro's: Nice graphics for a 1999 game, nice immersive mood at first. Main character is interesting.

Con's: Way too much backtracking; the game should be shorter. The technology used to save the game is not acceptable by today's standards.
