Best hack and slash I've played, yet I've hardly ever played god of war.

Ok, this aint, a full review neither are any other of my reviews. A full review by me could never rival the proffesional gamespot reviews, I am however stating my opinion on areas that the main reviews have not touched on. I would have said this on my profile rather than on this review but I don't know how to fill out my profile and I don't know whether you have o be subscribed to do so. Anyone who can tell me how to fill out my profile I'd be most grateful off. Moving on...

Ok, SOR's awesome story, wich is based on the death of Julius Caesar's death will keep you guessing and interested from start to finish. There's much more to It than what really happened because It is mostly a totally fictional story. No, I won't explain it in detail I can't be bothered. You've probably already read the official review so you know how it starts.

The action in the game is great, because there are hundreds of brutal move you can do to finish off your enemies, whether they are people, big people, tigers, elephants, vultures, gladiator monkeys and all the rest.
The boss fights, wich are numerous at the end of the game and appear at all the final rounds at each arena, are varied and fun to fight, but certain bosses have very predictable and constanly repeating attack patterns, making It easy to take advantage of your emenies looping AI, allthough some bosses change thier methods and get mopre dangerous and unpredictable everytime you take off one of their health bars. The only other minor complaint about the fighting part of the game is that the hit detection is sometimes a little out of order, such as when and elephant tries to sit on you and crush you and you dodge 1 foot away from him yet he still makes you fall to the ground and when one of the bosses takes a swing at you with his war hammer and if you circle around him closely, his hammer gose right through you inflicting zero damage. Also on one mission where you lead the women captives out of their cages in the arena and out of the arena to safety, protecting them from your enemies, everytime they're hit they will run around aimlessly and be stupid, rather than making a dash for the exit leaving you to hold them off. Apart from these problems, the fighting in SOR is cool and just as you think you've done this before, you get suprised by something different.

The stealth sequences are fun and using such low tech eqiptment in a stealth mission such as banana peals, honey pots, ropes, and rats seems completely new to me. Sneakin past Romans kinda reminds me off life of Brian wich is great cuz that was such funny film. The level design is also interesting. The only REAL problem with these sequences is the AI wich still isn't too bad. A guard you need to kill to get a key will run around and get stuck in front of some guys trying to chase and calm down some maid you scared to death by throwing a rat near her, so you can't kill him with a rope and avoid getting caught without restarting the misiion and theirs an AI problem that occurs more often. When enemies chase when you blow your cover when your on the same level as them, they will ruthlessly hunt you down, but when you have to get round them from above, say on a windowsill with pillars on it, when they spot you up their they will shout at you but not climb up and when you hide behind the pillars right in front of them, even if they see you do so, your alert gauge will go down in seconds and all the guards will forget you were ever there. Howver, if you can cope with these small problems, this will be a long bundle of fun. I mean long as well it drags on. It took me 36 hours to complete!
