SotC is like van gogh. It's fine art, it's true meaning is beyond us, it's beautiful, and it is really weird....

SotC is truly gorgeous, which is to be expected from the makers of ico, and it's innovative, and unique, and intuitive. The gameplay is seamless and fun sure, but for whatever reason i just can't get into the gameplay. mebbe someday i will, but for now i can't seem to get into the nuance of climbing all over moving mazes and puzzles to stab a seemingly gentle giant in the head repeatedly.

in fact as i sit here thinking about it, the colossi (?) aren't nearly malevolent in design to give me the drive to eradicate them from the expansive valley i find myself in. i feel bad every time i bring one down. hee hee.

aside from the weird (and there is a lot of weird here) the game is technically perfect. it's artistic influence is undeniable, and you'll be able to chat this game up as a beacon for the industry becoming a main stream function of fine art, and command the respect of the world at large! at least until the world at large finds out about games like leisure suit larry that is. :)
