I picked this up on release day and let is sit around for a few months before actually trying it out. I spent a weekend at a friend's house, and all we did was play this game. At first, I wasn't very impressed with the character graphics, but the lighting and motion effects are unbelievable. It's the sort of game you don't even have to be playing to enjoy, making it great to play with a few friends. The world is huge, and fun to explore, although there's really nothing out there to find except a bunch of Colossi. The game is all boss fights, which are very fun, and some are more challenging than others. Half the fun is figuring out what to do, which I must admit required a little internet searching more than once. The story is simple, yet interesting, and remains mysterious enough to keep your wondering what might happen. The worst thing about this game is the camera angles without a doubt. They look great all the time, but they can make actually playing the game very frustrating. The game isn't really very long, and if you can manage to find each colossus quickly, you'll finish in under 10 hours. You can unlock some special weapons and armor if you replay on harder difficulties, but I really couldn't see the point after completing it once. This game is absolutely worth a rental, and you may find it so original that you'll want to own it too.
