An amazing and unique experience unlike no other

What can I say? This game is just so damn good! At first I didn't really know what to do, but then I figured out that you need to focus the light beam of your sword to a place where you feel vibration, and those places are where the Colossi are. Shadow of the Colossus has a pretty good story. A lifeless young girl lies helpless on an altar within a temple. Her soul has been taken and to revive it, there is only one way. Following voices from the heavens, you begin a dark and dangerous quest to seek and destroy the monsters that dwell in this strang world. By defeating those monsters called the Colossi, you can bring back life to the lifeless young girl. Fighting the Colossi is just awesome. Holding up your sword at them reveals their weak spots. Then you climb their fur and stab their weak points. There are also some platforms on the colossi which you can rest on and replenish your health if you have been hit. The controls are different than other games I've played, but they're easy to get used to.

One of my favorite parts of the game is with no doubt, the graphics. The artistic presentation is beyond excellent. Every last bit of detail is on the objects. For example, the intricately carved and realistic looking club the Colossus holds. If places look ugly from far, get closer and everything would be crystal clear and detailed to the bone. The monster models are some of the best I've ever seen. These graphics really push the PS2 to its limits and past that. The thing that bothered me was the framerate. The framerate isn't stable. If the game ran at a good framerate, I would have given those graphics a perfect score. Despite the framerate issues, the graphics are simply stunning and are a real pleasure to look at. The whole game is 16 bosses. 16 Colossi. It might be a bit short, but I simply enjoy slaying those enormous creatures. It is just extremely fun. The game is definitely worth a try and I think it's totally worth buying.
