A1 Graphics push the PS2 to its limits. Total Original Gameplay make this a must. Tricky at first but rewarding later.
Shadow of Colossus is everything in a game that you never expexted but wanted to see. Have you always wanted to see great graphics, storyline and fantasy adventure all in one game then this maybe for you. You play a young man who has to kill 16 colossus that roam the land in order to save his girlfriends life. In order to do this he is aided with his trust horse, a magic sword and a bow and arrow. Holding his sword up shows you the direction to find the first colossus. You then simply ride your horse towards the light until the game stops and a movie mode begins revealing the colossus.
Once with the colossus you must now kill it. At first you thing 'how the hell' but after several goes of climbing, swinging, jumping and stabbing you will aventurely defeat the beast. Don't be put off with the tricky start to the game as once you have defeated the first you WILL be addicted to find the next. I spent around a hour killing the 3rd. Took me ages to find get to its waist line!
Anyway .... The scenery is superb and really caputures the world fantasy feeling and the audio although repetitive is captivating. Animation is superb and lighting affects brilliant.
Overall I can't recommend this enough. I'm 34 and hate the GTA rapping type of games, Underground, 50 cent stuff just doen't apeal to me. This however is in its own league and should be in everyones collection.
