the ends are excellent, but the means bores
The voice acting is almost non-exestent. I think the horse's neighs are the best performances. The main character barely ever speaks at all. And the music that accompanies you on your journeys are wholly thin. The music does pick up considerably during colossus battles.
The story is tight-lipped on details preceeding the actual events, but i do think that this game would make great material for a sequel or maybe even prequel.
The ending sorely disappointed because there was such little action in terms of story completion.
The gameplay (colossus fighting) is the best part of the game, and will entertain you thoroughly.
Overall, the game will not suit the impatient due to its dull nature before colossi fights. If you manage to find the colossi, then prepare to dodge some really big, nubby feet.
ps. One thing i noticed about this game....you never a single load screen during the game, except for the initial loading of the world. This world is probably the size of a small country, and it is all streamed from the dvd--pretty good.
