I would say shadow of the collosus is unlike anyother games you have ever played read my review to find out why...
Gameplay:-
The game play in shadow of the collosus is some what similar to that of ICO with the four buttons comsisting of slashing with your sword, using your arrow, calling your horse and using your sword to reflect the sunlight therefore to show where the next collosus is for you to meet. The gameplay mainly consists of climbing the collosus and stabbing each collis weak points. Each collosus has different weak point which needs to be stabbed using you sword to kill them. The gameplay takes a bit of time to get use to but once you get the hang of it you'll thouroughly enjoy the game.
Grafix:-
The grafix in the game are simply never never seen accross any current generation platforms other then a few other games for the artistic point of view.Techinally the game is also pretty impressive with vast and expansive environments for you to roam where ever you feel like if you wish. The light effect in the game are pulled of well with a nice ambient look to it.And last but not least the collosus's look simply amazing with nice and detailed textures. This game is one of the best looking PS2 title out there.
Sound:-
The game sound tracks are quite nice and relaxing and suit the story of the game with an ancient japanese and original soundtrack to it.The voice acting and sound effects are pretty good as well.If you wanna get the best outta the sound of this game you should get a Prologic 2 setup or if you have one just connect it up to your PS2.
Closing comments:-
I really didnt expect this game to be this good and i was at shock and awe when i saw the mamoth size of the clossi which im sure you will be in as well when you encounter the clossi .I therefore recomend the this to anyone who has even the slightest interest in the Adventure genre. But personally i would recoment this game to any PS2 owner out there cause this is a game thats only one of the type out there.
