Change of mind, forget my first review. After curing myself of the curse of this game, I am ready to tell you the truth

User Rating: 3.6 | Shadow the Hedgehog PS2
Shadow the Hedgehog put a spell on me for a while. I gave the game a 9 out of 10 and I talked about how good it was. Well, no more. After playing God of War, I was freed of the curse and now, I am redeeming myself for what I have done. First off, the only thing the graphics are good at are the lighting, other than that, you will see a lot of horrible graphics. Forget what people say, the graphics aren't that good. Gunplay? With the poorly done auto targeting, forget it. Also, the so-called 'Mature' game made the rating of E+10! Plunge yourself into a world where Shadow's destiny is in your hands. Well, after you uncover the 10 different endings, you will basically want to stop. The game play is too fast, which is amazing for a game in the Sonic universe. A lot of times, you will be running into enemies and losing rings and also, your homing attack can really piss you off. Like gun play, it has a randomly-choosing auto targeting so you'll be aiming for a soldier and WHOOPS! You fall off a cliff! The voice acting has its ups and downs. The most annoying of all voice acting in the game is Vector, Charmy, and Tails. Also, it doesn't serve to be a Hero, nor a Villain. As a Hero, sure you get Sonic or one of his friends to help you out, but they're completely useless. They are only useful when it comes to collecting rings. Being Dark doesn't help any more. Black Doom may have an awesome voice actor, but in the boss fights against him, he is so weak that you wonder how he became the leader of the Black Arms. Enemy AI is non existent. There is something that really made me mad about this game. Don't think that anything will change when you choose a Hero or Dark mission, for example, become pure evil and you'll still be attacked by Black Arms soldiers. There are times where, after you beat a mission, you expect that all the crapiness you were forced through would improve, WRONG! There are no cut scenes that react to what you went through. Destroy a crap load of Black Arms and the game won't give you any pleasing results. Also, the levels are horribly done. Sometimes, you don't know where to go or what to do, which affects your time. The camera can't keep up with the fast-paced gameplay and usually, you can get a little woozy. The cutscenes? After watching them for the hundredth time, you just want to hit the START button and skip them, but then, the game has yet another flaw: The one minute and 30 second loading time! Here's the flaws: Bad graphics, camera, level designs, and enemy AI, Pointless missions, Annoying and non-responsive vehicle controls with slow-pace, unoriginal enemy models, and Charmy the Bee was a big no-no in this game. Now, for the positive things: the music and Shadow, Black Doom, and the President have good voice acting. Enough said. Oh yeah, and Sega, a word of advice: If you want to make Shadow into the newest bad boy, DON'T MAKE A GAME WITH 4KIDS TV!!!!!
