The black sheep of Sonic games.
Graphics: Let me just say that the graphics are really... REALLY bad. I have noticed frequent frame rate drops throughout the game. Most of the cutscenes are slow and sluggish because of the game not being able to run over 30 frames per second. Otherwise, everything else is A-okay! (I lied.) 3/10
Story: The story is the worst part of the game. Sonic games shouldn't be about Karma and alternate endings. It should have one solid ending to it. The Karma system is doing a mission for the good or bad side and seeing what happens. Of course, you would get multiple endings, or just a different order of cutscenes arranged in a way that they could be called multiple endings. But to get the last story, all you need to do is do the good or evil missions on each final stage. 0/10
Controls: The controls kind of suck. I have tried the game with 6 Gamecube controllers, and something is wrong with this game. Please also note that none of the controllers are broken. Afterwards, I would play any working game and it would work just fine. All of the controllers have a problem, except for my wireless Wavebird. Controller Number 1 (Standard)'s problem is that Shadow does absolutely nothing. Controller number 2 (Madcatz wired)'s problem is he'll land on the ground and run in place. Controller Number 3 (Pelican wired)'s problem is he'll run straight forward. Controller Number 4 (Madcatz Wireless)'s problem is an error will occur. Controller Number 5 (Mini Madcatz Controller)'s problem is he can't jump, shoot, or slide. Controller Number 6 works fine. It's also my Wireless Wavebird. What kind of company would make a game that only works with a single type of controller?! 0/10
Difficulty: The game is needlessly difficult with the endless barrages of enemies and unforgiving jumps. I could try the same jump 4 times and not make it because of the need for pinpoint controls. It's needlessly difficult and unforgiving. I nearly threw my controller at the screen in disgust. 1/10
Overall, this game is a terrible addition to the Sonic franchise. If you have happened to come into contact with a copy of this game, or anybody that has come into contact with a copy of this game please care for your safety and the safety of others around you and burn it into the ground.
