In my opinion, the Sonic franchise should have stopped after the Dreamcast.The gameplay has become the same with each entry, and this is no different, except it has guns. Sega tried to make this a more "mature" game just by adding guns and cussing. How this game got E10+ I will never know, because Shadow's dialog consists of mainly swear words. This game even shows guys like Sonic swear a few times. These are kid's characters! That's like showing Sesame Street characters commit murder. Anyway, the gameplay is the same exercise in holding the stick forward and jumping occasionly or maybe kill something that's in your way that the last several 3D Sonics have been. The addition of gunplay makes this even worse,as you're better off running towards them and using a jump attack, which is more powerful than guns. However, this game does have multiple story paths wheter you're good or evil and has five different endings. You also get a special item for viewing a certain ending, but you have to start a whole new game and lose the item to view a different ending. I should also mention that in one plot, the game focuses on an alien invasion, but then switches to this plot with Dr. Robotnik in the middle, completley ignoring the aliens. One trailer, or commercial, I can't remember which, has Shadow shooting in the head a beaten Sonic. I think Sega should put a gun to the head of this worn franchise and pull the trigger.
