if you are into modern japanese culture and as well into the 1980ies and would like to warp yourself into somebody else, the shenmue series is still unbeaten. the graphics still work out nicely even though they are not todays standard they are made with enthusiasm and still soak you into the game. get a dreamcast and play the first part and afterwards get the xbox version of part 2 of the story as it didnt come out in the US for the dreamcast. i was blessed in terms of being served quite well from sega europe because they released an english subtitled and original japanese vocalized version in the end of 2002. and afterwards play FABLE for xbox also great in getting you into the gameworld although its a completely different and more comic style setting... i still dream of shenmue and my nice time i had with the adventure of ryo hazuki.....
