In time of need...
User Rating: 8.5 | Shift 2: Unleashed PC
At my point of view, PC is the most practical way-to-play-videogames posible, just been upgradeable its a reason. Incredibly, PC haven't that game variety expected by gamers of this plataform and one genre its more affected than others. Racing simulators are popular in these days; games like Gran Turismo or Forza Motorsport are really nice, well made and inmersive, can satisfy a GT1 fan easly, but, what about PC gamers?. Now we get a racing simulator from Need for Speed saga, 'Shift' is the title and its representing a hope for this kind of gamer, who reject GRID and others from past generation. Shift 2 is great, well made too but really far from the big league (Gran Turismo and Forza). Don't expect a shocking car lineup, thats a common mistake. Shift 2 applies for those who want a racing simulation challenge on Windows, with some interesting cars, a couple of deep mechanic customization and tuning (not the vulgar, just the technical and pro). The way of Shift 2: Unleashed its the right, but, if EA wants to get in the big league of racing sims, a lot more its needed. Anyways, in the time of need, games like this can give satisfaction in some ways, because PC gamers dont have choices about racing sims, maybe Dirt 2 and 3 applies for some people but is not enough.
