More Than Meets The Eye
Let me explain why.
First of, i'm not a heavy shin megami tensei fan, or should i say i wasn't when i bought persona 3, i just thought "Hey, a new rpg!"
The game begins casual, but draws you in more than you can imagine, the OST fits perfectly, at first i thought it was all repetitive, but its not, its actually quite cleverely made, the characters have complex personalities, reminiscent of "Neon Genesis Evangelion".
The OST has a funk jazz feel which works aswell as "Cowboy Bebop", I'm actually listening to "Want To Be Close" from the persona OST as i'm typing! :D
The OST is powerful and used in great ways which is one of the reasons this game is as good as it is.
The storyline is unique, complex and well thought-out, with powerful messages given which also places the characters in different situations to show how they react under pressure to explain a little more detail about the characters.
You play each day through the calender till Judgement day, you make your way up a fleet of stairs through a tower to "train" for new bosses and etc. At first it seems annoying but by the end you'll be amazed by how well and important the tower becomes.
The Batlle system is cleverely complex, for strategies and such to make the player face a real challenge. The battle system is reminiscent of that of "Skies Of Arcadia"
The game really comes to fruition when you all the mysteries unfold, if you keep up with the constant shocks of the story, this game will leave you wanting to play persona FES, and i live in the UK, I HAVENT PLAYED FES YET!!!! ITS KILLING ME! Meh, thats what ebay's for :D
