Persona 3

User Rating: 8.5 | Persona 3 PS2
You haven't seen me review any games for awhile but I'm back. Enjoy this review for this good game.

~Gameplay~
-Dungeon-
Persona 3 is a mix of RPG and simulation. You will battle lots of monsters in Tartarus (the dungeon where you will spend lots of hours) and get friends "in real life". The battlesystem is fast-paced and works pretty well. It gets pretty repeatitive after awhile though. At first, it seems there are lots of different things to perform in battle, but that's not quite true. You just have to equip a good Persona for you. Find enemies weaknesses. Use a spell/attack which the enemy is weak against to. Use a All-out attack. That's it, really. I found myself doing that in every single random battle. It is the best way to kill the monsters, so yea. But I can promise you, it gets boring.

The Tartarus itself gets very repeatitive, too. There are lots of floors to climb up. (I was getting very bored after 150 floor...and that's not even close to the end >_>). There are no puzzles or anything in that sort. You can split up with your party members but in higher floors, you will find your party members to get killed easily if you do that. This is only the half of Persona 3's gameplay, here comes the other half.

-Real Life-
In Real Life, you will attend to school, get new friends and do other stuff (drink coffee to rise up your Charm, play karaoke to rise your Courage or read books at library to rise up your Knowledge) By getting new friends, you will get new Social Links. Getting Social Links (and new levels to them) can be hard, because you have to know what to say to your fellow friends. Say something offending and your friend might get angry at you. If he/she gets angry at you, apologize to him/her immediately! (your Personas will minus EXP if you don't) Social Links increase the power of your Personas. If you mix up Personas together to create a new Persona, that new Persona will get extra EXP if he is the type of Social Link you have. The more levels your Social Link has, the more the Persona will get Extra EXP. The best parts of this game in my opinion, are: learning new stuff about your friends (Social Link friends), the main characters and the story. They entertained me the most. Although the battlesystem was enjoyable (although repeatitive), the story and the characters were much more entertaining. I actually wanted to know more about the main characters (and Social Link friends, but not that much).

And then about Charm, Knowledge and Courage
Charm: You get more charming. If you have lots of charm, some people are interested about you.
Knowledge: Smart people will love you if you have lots of Knowledge.
Courage: The more courage you have, the more courage you have to talk to "weird" people or just badass.

That's pretty much all about the gameplay, learn more by playing the game.

~Graphics~
Anime-FMV's. Anime-style graphics. Pretty much one of the reasons I love Persona 3.

~Sound~
Awesome, but repeatitive soundtrack. Actually, I'm listening one of the tracks at the moment! Awesome VA's.

~Value~
It took me about 80 hours to clear. I did alot of sidequests and other stuff. There is also a NG+, so if you want more Persona 3, go and play it more. I didn't have any interest to play it another time, maybe when FES will be released in NA (hope it gets one).

Get this game if you love RPG's. Get this game if you like simulation-type of games. Yes, I'm serious. It is a mix of them, after all. Hope you enjoy playing this game, because I did.

Thank you for reading my review, hope you found lots of writing mistakes.
(lol, I reviewed this game by using Gamespot's older review style xD Oh well)
