Best RPG, hands down

User Rating: 10 | Persona 4 PS2
Persona4, this game had an amazing storyline that kept you guessing for a good while, and the battle system actually took some thought and skill, it wasn't just pressing buttons until you win like a lot of games are now. the leading of a double life, and the use of some pretty forgotten mythology is something i think the MegaTen series really proves itself on. the relationships were real enough, and it include all the cliche things people expect to see, but with extreme originality (specifically Naoto). For all who don't know the story, the protagonist is moved to a small town called Inaba to stay with his uncle and cousin for a year and, coincidentally, a chain of murders and kidnappings begin right as you arrive. Using the power of your persona, you and a group of schoolmates must save the victims before the next foggy day(which is the deadline), and expose the killer. The protagonist is blessed with the gift of "the wild card", allowing him to use multiple persona (most persona users can only use one). This games ability to switch your suspicions from one person to the next is phenomenal, and ends in a way at least i didn't expect but that is so obvious. Now as great as it was this game had its downs as well as ups, specifically the frustrating hours that can be put into trying to fuse certain persona with certain skills. and the concept of a 'game over' at the death of the protagonist despite other conscious characters could be just as aggravating. overall though any enthusiast of original RPG game play (turn by turn battle and dungeon crawling) but also wants a lengthy game, should definitely go buy this if they haven't already.
