Best RPG on the GENESIS! Classic Game.
STORY8/10- The story in shining force 2 starts out with a hero that you get to name, but his real name is Bowie. Bowie and the shining force are on a mission to stop a evil demon named Zeon, and to save pricess Ellis. The 2 main characters are Bowie and Peter the Phoenix, at first he looks like a dopey turkey thats gonna be a terrible fighter,wrong he is VERY powerful and once you promote him into a phoenix his appearance improves along with all of his stats.
GRAPHICS 10/10- For its time shining force 2 had some of the best graphics you could ask for on a 16 bit console, the colors are bright and colorful and the character development is outstanding.
GAMEPLAY 9/10- It has all the elements of a basic rpg in the sense of magic spells, shops, ect. The battle system is where this game really shines, its tactical based fighting makes it much more challenging to find ways to complete the battle. If anyone doesn't know what tactical based fighting means picture a chess game, speaking of which you actually fight as chess pieces on a board. VERY HARD BATTLE.
SOUND 10/10- The music in this game is also my favorite out of any genesis games, once you here then you'll be humming them all day. The sound effects such as hitting are o.k but it was released in 94 so cant be to picky.
REPLAY 9/10- Ive played through this game a number of times and i still enjoy as much as i did when i first played it. Theres not too much side tasks other then a few special promotion items, characters, and getting all the Mythril through out the entire game to forge special weapons.
OVERALL- Every one should play this game! you owe it to your self to get on ebay and buy it right now, i promise you wont be dissapionted.
