A pitiful remake of Shining Force.

The original Shining Force was my favorite game. When I saw a remake, I thought that nothing could be better. However, I was let down. It follows the plot of the original, with a few changes, and changes the graphics. The new graphics are terrible; they make it seem like a cartoon. That completely ruined one part of the game for me. The modified battle system ruined the rest. My advice: Go buy a Genesis on E-bay and get the original, or get Sega Smash Pack II for the PC. Just STAY AWAY from the remake! Or, if you don't have an E-Bay account, yeah, you could play this. But if you ever played the original after that, you would see how completely superior it is. The genesis version is highly impressive; great controls, great graphics (that fit the game), and overall great story/game play; factor in the dozen or so hidden characters, and you have the greatest Strategy-RPG ever made. The remake doesn't do it justice, but if it's all you can get, go for it; don't miss out on the legacy of the greatest SRPG ever.
