Great Story-line
Story
---------------------
The story in Shining Force is exelent. 1,000 years ago, Dark Dragon fought the world of Rune for total control. Light faught him back and cast him into another demension. He swore to come back in 1,000 years. You are a young soldier-in-training for the kingdom of Guardiana. Your people are the keepers of an ancient gate of mystery. However the Kingdom on Runefaust and it's leader Dark Sol are trying to free Dark Dragon. Turns out that they start their search at a certain gate. As you learn what they were doing, you have to fight your way throught the world and get to Dark Sol. Like I said before, it's exelent.
Music/sound
---------------------
I loved the music of Shining Force. Sure, it's not anything like Halo music, but has a good sound to it. The quality is mediorcre, but gets the mood through to ya. The sounds are probably the worst part of the game. For something that came out in 1992, they are alright. But today, they just don't cut it.
Graphics
---------------------
The land of Rune is a colorfull place. The in-game sprites are all great. Then when you go to battle, you see all the charactors and enemies close up. All of them look exelent. When you speak to key-charactors a small portrait will appear. These also look good.
Gameplay
---------------------
Shining Force is a turn-based RPG. The system was revolutionary for its time. Although today it's nothing new, the combat system keep you wanting more. It allows you to position your fellowship of warriors in the best places possible.
