shinobi is one of the best games ever! it is based on a good story line and for a 2-d platform it is excellent! the bosses are well thought out, and to be honest this game is one of the hardest games i ever played! i have noticed that games have gone easier over the years. but the sega cartridge games are more harder and challenging. this game has awesome power-ups! from normal metal stars to flaming hot knives! you can get some power-ups that even allow you to jump higher and turn invisible! the story line for this game was based out very well! every time you are defeated you would get a story line which says that you have failed and some other stuff. (sorry i havnt played the game for 6 years!) but almost every game that i have played on sega is very challenging and just plain fun! sega still remains as my fovourite console today!
