Shinobi is a very underappreciated game by Sega. This game might have turned a few gamers off because of it's difficulty level but when you beat the game there's so many extras to unlock that make this game worth playing over and over again. You play as Hotsuma a member of the Noboru Clan. The cutscene at the beginning of the game show a city being taken over by demons. Then they cut to a scene with Hotsuma flying in a helicopter when all of a sudden a demon collides with the chopper and Hotsuma is falling but he uses his sword to grind down a building to slow himself down. When you get to the ground he notices that some of his clan members have unusual marker on their chests and back. He realizes that they've been possessed by demons and that he must kill them to let their sould rest in peace. You go through the game killing members of your clan and you get a sword that feeds off the energy of souls and you must kill certain numbers of enemies or the sword starts to drain your life. This game is hard!!!
