Shinobi is one of the good games to come out of our consoles, but it shares heavily with Devil May Cry which is a good and bad thing. The good is that a lot of gamers who haven't experienced DMC will get this opportunity to test it out for themselves. The bad is that the people who "have" played DMC will complain greatly. (And it's those pricks who rate it under 7). The graphics aren't what you call quality but it's reasonable enough. The gameplay is solid, albeit slightly lacking in-depth. The first thing to do is slap on a safety belt because this game, like it's old-school predecessor, is another toughie. There is a very, very well planned level based on the original and has that soundtrack we've all come to love...and hate. You will encounter literally hundreds of enemies, although none of them actually have variety. Mostly, it all ends up about how you play out the action and solve the brain-aching puzzles.
