One of the funnest Ninja Games ever made

User Rating: 9 | Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master GEN
So in this game you pretty much play as this ninja Joe Musashi(Shinbi), In this game you'll spend much of your time killing ninjas, blowing stuff up and using some super powers that can be quite useful in certain occasions. You have to use these power ups very wisely. Such as one of the power ups which is kinda like some Shadow Jumping that makes you jump higher and floatier. Using this is perfect for stages with enless pits, such as one stage where there are a bunch of falling rocks and your trying to make your way up to the top while killing other ninjas. Yes, this game is extreme. The levels here are so much fun and so creative for a game at that time. You get to ride jetskis, horses, and all in all just have an endless amount of fun. This game is very much on the short side but for a game like this, thats something easy to over look. The fact is, even after you beat this game, you'll still want to come back to it maybe everny couple of months, just to experience how much fun it is. This game can also be very challenging(of course, if you dont use nintendo's save state system). The enemies arent the real challenge here. Similar to PS2's Shinobi, its all about the endless pits. These endless pits will have you on your toes throughout the game as your climbing a tight rope to reach the other side while avoiding electricity from shocking you to your doom, or even when inbetween 2 walls hoping that you can properly time your wall jump everytime so you avoid the endless pit. The point is this game is fun, whether for a few minutes at a time, or the few hours it lasts each time. I recommend if this is the first time your playing, avoid the save state system, and beat the game without it. You will have lots of fun trying your best to avoid the endless pits while beating the crap out of other ninjas. This game is more than worth the $8. You'll find yourself wanting to come back to this game one way or another, even if its through other means of emulation in the future.
