With hexagons replacing square tile and only one unit per tile instead of stacking some many units at a time and attacking a city has made the game more strategic. You need your head to win a war.

Cities can perform ranged attacks.
Cities have a health bar, which is based on their defense level.
These are the main features of the new battle system.
Rest the civics in the game, although they seem a bit odd, but the bonuses they provide are worth it. You won't regret that.
We have no religions,but much emphasis has been now put on culture.
One more thing, you can use gold to buy buildings and units. So take care of the amount of gold you have.
The graphics of the game are great. But the requirements are a little high. This game is just as addictive as the previous civilizations.
