A fun, one-of-a-kind pirate game!
Sid Meier's Pirates! is set in the Caribbean during the golden age of piracy. The game basically gives you complete freedom right from the start. You can go anywhere, do anything and be who you want to be.
The game does have a storyline, though. You are supposed to be rescuing your relatives, but you can go the entire game without doing that, though you wont get the best ending. Other than that, you can dig for treasure, become a merchant, or just blow everyone up. The game gives you complete freedom.
The graphics are good, considering how much is on the screen at once. The sound, however, is great. You can hear everything from the wind blowing through your sails to the pirate music playing in the taverns.
I would reccommend this game for everyone. It offers good, clean fun and almost endless replay value. This is very close to being the perfect game.
