When I first puchased this game, I was truly unprepared for the kind of adventure that I was getting myself into. I saw the 20 dollar price tag, and I was thinking: "It must be just ok if they sell it at 20 dollars (because it really hadn't been out all that long)," but I decided to buy it anyway. I installed it with ease and it started with ease. I began playing this, and it really hit me that this game isn't just about finding treasure...it was a treasure itself. Well, the first thing I noticed was the graphics. Absolutely stunning. Even if you put the graphics to the lowest possible settings, they are still acceptable.
Next, the sounds. While there isn't really a voiceover in this game (probably better), it still delivers in all the forms of audio I could want...ample sea sounds, yelling from ship to ship and the fighting audio was great too.
Overall, this game is great for anyone who enjoyed Sid Meier's other games. It is truly addicting and a real treasure in the mess of other PC games...go buy this one if you like adventure, rpg's, strategy or pirate games....It's great...
