One of the most scary games i have ever played...
However, Silent Hill has something that Resident Evil has not: something i cannot call properly :( Perhaps "accumulative stress"? or "permanent disturbance feeling"? I mean. All RE games feature characters with some kind of police or military training, handling powerful and well developed fire weapons, and have at least a little clue of what`s happening around them, and about what has to be done. Silent Hill characters has none of those "assets" What about Heather? what kind of "battlefield performance" can have a 17 years old, problematic girl?
That is what I personally found so great about Silent Hill games, specially about this one: that disturbing, stress-full feeling of not to know a thing, being a weak and scared girl who has not idea what she has to do!
Technical details (graphics, sound, control response) are very well developed and work awesome! The graphics are smooth, and my favorites are the faces modeling at the cinematics! they look wonderful! you can even see Heather`s face defects! cool, huh?
The sound? as great as ever! the music is very good, and the songs fits correctly on each scene (i have some of them in my pc :) ) and the environmental sounds are terrific! Can scare u to the bones!
Storyline is engaging! so scary, so deep! what about the carousel in the Lake Side Amusement Park, in the "twisted" version? oh man, that part scared me to Hell!
Don´t miss this game! is already "old" but I think is one of those classics!
