Silent Hill 3 is more uncomfortable in terms of vicious enemies and unsettling eviroments then in previous games.
Enemies attacks are more violent then previous iterations and the protagonist will be swarmed with more opposition then often. To help with the added difficult, the arsenal has been upgraded to make combat some what easier. This includes hand weapons such as the kitana or arms like the sub-machine gun.
Silent Hill 3 might be more nerve racking for those who like the peaceful pacing and tranquil moments that Silent Hill 2 had at times; Which Silent Hill 3 is devoid of moments to take a true breather. While others might welcome the un-relentless game play as a increased scare factor.
Despite the harsher sense of style, Silent Hill 3 continues the well known tradition of intriguing and emotional story; Especially for those who are familiar with the first, you will be surprised by the turn of events the game will take. The graphics are sharper and gorier then ever as well.
