The Silent Hill series is known for it's great stories and creepiness. Silent Hill 4 "The Room" is no different in this basic idea, but may dissapoint fans because the game doesn't take place in the town of Silent Hill. But overall, the experience delivered in "The Room" is an unforgettable one worth playing for any fan of horror. The gameplay in "The Room" is probably it's weakest part. It's pretty simple, and kind of outdated. Characters control like tanks, and combat is clunky. Speaking of combat, there's a lot of it in this game, more so than any other Silent Hill game, so you will be using the ancient combat mechanics a lot. Overall though, the gameplay doesn't really detract from the gaming experience because of such a great story and atmosphere. The Silent Hill series has always delivered on what it promises to be a very creepy, immersive game. In fact no other game has captured the claustrophobic feeling quite like "The Room".
