Probably the best Horror Game Ever!
I understand that every person has his own feelings and attitude towards a game but if there is something I'm sure about is that Silent Hill 4: the Room is a masterpiece of graphic, music, and story. The only little problem is in the game play, since the movements and the whole control thing could have been improved considering the great job done by Konami for the rest.
The story is absolutely amazing ,so deep in giving specifics and so goo that keeps you freaking out even after turning off the console. The ghosts are fantastic, finally a REAL horror game where you don't have bazookas with you to blow up monsters and where finally a ghost is MORE powerful than you are. This is a game about running away from crazy things and about a mysterious story that awaits to be unfolded.
Everything starts from the room, the lucid dreams are just perfect, the protagonist goes through a series of places that are superb for graphic and atmosphere. The fights are really good because from one side there is a human being trying to fight supernatural creatures using normal weapons (the kind you can find everywhere: tubes, iron rods, axes and few times guns with few bullets), and on the other side there is a quite simple fighting system that helps you. This means that even though you still have the idea that the battle is uneven (the way it should be) you end up beating your enemies or running away from them without frustration.
There are few monsters that are the best ever, with peculiar behaviours and cool design. The last scene was a little bit tough for me, I could not finish the game with the happy ending but still I find this game one of the greatest of all times.
