Silent Hill 4 is the new konami horror game. It's probobaly the scariest game since.....ever! It delivers an unsettling, bone chilling, disturbing experience. And it does it well. The gameplay is pretty simple, really. The combat system is just button mashing, but having different fight moves in the game would be unnecessary and really wouldn't go with the game quite well. You hold R then press A to do your attack, and you can also hold A to wind it up. But this game isn't really about gameplay. It's more about story and exploration. And the story and exploration are done, perfectly. The story sucks you in, and you keep wanting to play the game until you've finished it. It's such a mystery, and all you want to know is what happens at the end. The exploration is brilliantly done, because the main environment keeps changing and new things appear. So if anyone says this game is addictive, then they're not really telling the whole truth. It's the story that's addictive. Graphicaly, this game is superb. It's got some amazing textures and character models. The sound is fine. But the dialogue and voice acting kind of ruin the whole "horror" experience. The voiceovers are decent, though. This game lasts only about 12 hours, but there's multiple endings that if you loved the game the first time through, you'll definitely want to play it through again. All in all, this is a great game. It's definitely the most disturbing game I've ever played, and one of the most unique. I recommend buying this if you were sucked into the story very easily. 'Cause chances are, you're gonna want to see all the endings. And if you're a horror fan, why are you reading this review? You should have bought this game already!
