Disturbing does not mean Disappointing
The bad - combat can sometime be fustrating ; Silent Hill is too foggy ; some enemy are cheap
Konami first silent hill game was release in 1999 , yes , 1999 , it is a very old game but it was quite well done . This review is written in 2007 , 8 years after the release of this game .
The gameplay is certainly disturbing and fun , the monster looks great , some enemy can be very cheap , for example , the flying monster , it is the first monster you encounter in the game , it is quite cheap , you can't really use melee on this tough guy .
The game contain lots of interesting puzzle , which require you to brainstorm abit . If this game is just walking around and fight , with no puzzle , it will be damn boring . \
There are quite a number of ending , about 4-5 , if i am not wrong , so you will want to play the game over and over again to see different ending . The gameplay will affect the gameplay , you must do something in order to get some of the ending you want . Ending also affect unlockable , different ending unlock different things .
The bad thing about this game is the combat , it can sometime be fustrating , depending on who you are fighting . Another bad thing is , the street of Silent Hill is too foggy , you can't really see what is infront of you .
This is a great game you must get for halloween !
For people who are new to silent hill , i recommend you playing Silent Hill origin for the PSP first , the story take place before the first Silent Hill game .
