Great game, lots of fun IF you can get to play it.

I am -not- a DRM hater. However, I am currently staring at a window that says in another 18 minutes I will be told if I have to wait yet another 20 minutes or not to possibly get into the game. I've been waiting two hours, it's getting late, I am tired, I was hoping to play some SimCity tonight, but I don't think it's going to happen. It's advising me to go to another server, what's wrong with that? Not only can you not access your save games on a different server, but just to add ridiculous insult to injury you are forced to play the completely unskippable tutorial over again. I can deal with having to always be connected, but I can't deal with being denied my save games because the server is too busy. I'm very disappointed, EA has to fix this somehow but I can't imagine how right now.

It's not clear that you will ever be guaranteed to get on the server where your save games are unless this game plummets in popularity to the point they can always run it on one server per region. This design is fundamentally flawed, this should have been anticipated and fixed in early development. The only way out of this mess is for them to figure out how to link all the servers together somehow or allow us to keep our saves offline so we don't have to participate in this nonsense.

20 seconds to go... will I be lucky this time? Maybe I will be able to see my beloved city again.... 3....2 .... 1.... ... Nope. Counter just reset to 20 minutes. No Simcity tonight. [This was a true story]
