It has been more than 10 years since SimCity 4 and this update to SimCity is nothing short of epic. The new GlassBox engine adds a new level of realism to the game. The online play is just freakin' addicting. This adds a new dimension to the game that has been missing for years. Also, the new multi-city region framework encourages city specialization and makes the game challenging, even for seasoned players. The modular building customization lets players control their cities with a level of precision never seen in any other city simulation game. They've also added a new leaderboard model with challenges designed around specific goals. Note: At launch there were some server issues, but EA is working hard to resolve those and improve the UX. Still, this is he only game for people that want to build their own city and have an amazing amount of fun doing it!
